Privacy Policy

Version 2026-09-23 · Effective 2026-09-23 · Issued by Intelligena LLC, a California limited liability company

This Privacy Policy explains what Intelligena LLC, a California limited liability company does in connection with Yomomi, which is provided free of charge. It applies to the Service and not to any third-party site or service reached through it.

The short version. Yomomi uses Google Sign-In for accounts and stores the classroom and coursework data needed to run the Service. We do not sell your personal information, we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we run no advertising or third-party analytics trackers. You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, at support@yomomi.com.

1. Who is responsible

Intelligena LLC, a California limited liability company is the controller (and, under California law, the “business”) for personal information processed through the Service. Where a school uses the Service to manage its own classrooms, that school is the controller for its students’ records and we act as its service provider on its instructions; a student or parent should direct a request to the school first, and we will assist the school in responding.

2. What we collect, where it comes from, and why

We rely on the performance of our service to you and our legitimate interest in operating and securing the Service as the basis for this processing. We do not use cookies for advertising, and we run no third-party analytics.

3. Who we disclose information to

WE DO NOT SELL PERSONAL INFORMATION, AND WE DO NOT SHARE IT FOR CROSS-CONTEXT BEHAVIOURAL ADVERTISING, AS THOSE TERMS ARE DEFINED BY THE CALIFORNIA CONSUMER PRIVACY ACT. WE RUN NO ADVERTISING OR THIRD-PARTY ANALYTICS TRACKERS ON THE SERVICE. WE HAVE NOT SOLD OR SHARED PERSONAL INFORMATION IN THE PRECEDING TWELVE MONTHS, INCLUDING IN RESPECT OF ANY PERSON WE KNOW TO BE UNDER SIXTEEN.

  • Hosting and infrastructure providers, each under contract restricting them to processing on our instructions and prohibited from using your information for their own purposes.
  • Your own school or teacher, who can see your classroom activity and submitted work within their own classroom.
  • Legal and safety — where we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, subpoena or court order, or is necessary to prevent fraud or protect the rights or safety of any person.
  • A successor, in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this Policy continuing to apply.

4. Automated processing

The Service does not use your submissions to train third-party foundation models. Where a feature scores or evaluates work automatically, the result is shown to your teacher as a recommendation; your teacher decides your grade.

5. How long we keep it

  • Account and classroom records: for as long as your account is open, and then for up to 90 days after closure to allow recovery, unless your school instructs otherwise.
  • Security and error logs: up to 24 months.
  • Backups: deleted data persists in routine encrypted backups for up to 35 days before being overwritten.

Where a school controls the data, its own retention instruction applies and may be shorter or longer than the above.

6. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information we hold, including encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot and do not guarantee absolute security. To report a suspected vulnerability, write to support@yomomi.com.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you or your parent or school may have the right to:

  • know what personal information we hold, and how we use and disclose it;
  • receive a copy of it, in a portable format;
  • correct inaccurate information;
  • delete it, subject to exceptions the law allows;
  • opt out of sale or sharing — we do neither, so there is nothing to opt out of; and
  • not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

To exercise a right, write to support@yomomi.com. Where you are a student, we may ask your school or parent to confirm the request. We will respond within 45 days.

8. Children

The Service is used by school-age students. Accounts are created only through a school, teacher, parent or guardian who has warranted that they hold the consents required under the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). We process student records only under the school’s direction, as a “school official” with a legitimate educational interest under FERPA, and we do not use student data for advertising or build a profile of a student for any purpose other than providing the Service. A school or a parent may ask us to delete a student’s records at support@yomomi.com.

9. Where data is processed

We are based in the United States of America and process data there. If you use the Service from elsewhere, you understand that information is transferred to and processed in the United States, where data-protection law may differ from that of your own country.

10. Changes to this Policy

We review this Policy at least every twelve months and update it when our practices change. The version and effective date are shown at the top of this page.

11. Contact and complaints

Privacy questions and requests go to support@yomomi.com. If you are not satisfied with our response you may complain to your data-protection authority or, in California, to the California Privacy Protection Agency or the Attorney General.
